The Egg Cosy Challenge

Those of you who visited Yarndale last year may remember our Tea Cosy Challenge. It was was a huge success with 31 amazing tea cosies made by our talented visitors to raise money for Macmillan Nurses.

This was a joint venture between Yarndale and local business The Tempest Arms, and we were both thrilled by the incredibly inventive entries…..

….each beautiful creation was sold at Yarndale, raising a heart warming £200 for Macmillan.

Yarndale is once again teaming up with The Tempest Arms and this year we really want to raise even more money for this fabulous charity. We have decided on something equally egg-citing………………….

……….introducing the 2014  Egg Cosy Challenge!!

The idea is simple. All you need to do is to make four super-duper hand made egg cosies. They can be made from yarn or fibre of any kind (knitted, crocheted, felted, stitched etc) and can be as outlandish or serious as you care to make them.

We need a set of four which can either be identical or with a theme, but they do need to look like they belong to a set. There are a tonne of really cute egg cosy creations to be found on the internet, so we thought you might like to see some of our favourite egg-warming finds to get your creative sparks flying….
