Brioche Like a Pro: Beginner’s Brioche with Gwen Wagner-Adair (SATURDAY AM)

Saturday 29th September
10.15am – 1.15pm (3hrs)

Want to have a go at this fab new knitting technique? It’s suddenly everywhere.

Come along and get started on a cowl to help you get to grips with the ins and outs of brioche knitting, including special cast-on techniques. We’ll cover two-colour brioche worked flat – perfect to get you ready to make things like shawls and scarves. You’ll only be knitting with one colour yarn at a time.

We’ll learn the principles behind how the fabric is constructed, learn to recognise different stitches in your work, and learn how to spot and fix mistakes.

This workshop covers worked brioche without any patterning. If you want to learn to do increasing and decreasing, please book on the Next Steps workshop. The workshops are designed to flow into each other, so if you’re new to brioche you can book on the Beginner’s first and then you’ll be ready to attend Next Steps.
