Join Tania to learn the history and traditional techniques of Dorset Button making. Firstly explore the basic techniques and then using a variety of yarns and stitches, focus on designing your own Dorset Button brooch to add a personal finishing touch to a handmade project such as a shawl, hat or bag.

Participants will receive a handout, tapestry needle, brooch, rings and a selection of yarns to work with.

Tania Ashton Jones of TJFrog is a Dorset Button maker, designer, tutor and podcaster. Brought up in Dorset, and now living on the Isle of Skye, Tania aims to contribute to keeping alive the heritage craft of Dorset Buttons. Using traditional techniques Tania focuses on making contemporary buttons and loves teaching how to make beautiful functional or embellishment pieces.

A transaction is a sale or a top up.  Any remaining balance is cancelled on expiry.
