Drawing for Textiles – From Sketch to Motif

Saturday: 15.30 – 17.00

In this workshop you’ll discover that you don’t need any prior drawing skills to create beautiful, original motifs for your own projects.

We’ll be using unconventional drawing techniques to reveal your drawing ability, and we’ll transfer your favourite drawings into simple motifs that you can use in knitting, crochet and cross stitch.

Participants will receive a sketchbook.

Rachel Anderson is a textile artist and designer working from East Yorkshire. Primarily specialising in freemotion machine embroidery, Rachel also works with fabric design, mark making and other textile techniques, often teaching short courses and workshops.
