Triangular Lace Shawl with Gwen Wagner-Adair (SATURDAY PM)

There are so many beautiful shawls out there! Do you ever wonder where to start?
This workshop will show you how to make a triangular lace shawl, starting with the traditional garter stitch tab cast-on. The workshop will also cover the basics of lace knitting, including charts, and a lace cast off. You’ll get to have a go at blocking your shawl too!
This is a great beginner lace workshop to get you started.
Required skills: casting on, knit and purl
- 1 x 50g DK yarn
- All in a cute re-usable cotton tote
Students need to bring:
- 4mm circular needles – 60 – 80 cm length recommended (if you tend to knit tightly, please bring a larger size – 4.5 or 5mm)
- a locking stitch marker
- paper and pen, if you wish to take notes
