Two-Handed Colourwork (worked flat) with Gwen Wagner-Adair (SUNDAY AM)

Want to up your colour work game? This workshops covers how to work colour work twohanded (worked flat) and is full of tips and tricks to make your first (or second) foray into colour work go smoothly.
Get confident with yarn management, prevent your yarns from twisting around each other, work with long floats, and crack two-handed colourwork (hint: it’s faster!).
We’ll cover techniques for fair isle/stranded colour work including how to read charts and how to join in yarns seamlessly. It’s all there.

Skills Needed:
• knit, purl, cast on/off

Materials provided:
• Introduction to Colourwork workshop notes
• 2 x 50g balls of DK yarn in complementary but contrasting colours

Students to bring:
• 4mm needles (or your preferred needles for working with DK yarn)
• one size up and one size down from your preference – just in case (eg based on
4mm, 3.75mm and 4.5mm)
