Upcycled Book Binding with Kim Searle
Saturday 25th September | 13.15 – 15.15 | Workshop Theatre 1
Turn old postcards, photos, flyers, old hard cover books and anything else you can think of into some fantastic hand bound books! This workshop will cover Japanese Stab Binding and Saddle Stitch so you can leave with a few different styles. Both book binding techniques have lots of decorative twists you can add to them. These will be covered in the session and you’ll be able to replicate these at home and create your own designs too! Perfect for creating your own sketchbooks, notebooks and gifts for friends. You’re welcome to bring your own postcards and similar things to make a cover, but there will be lots to choose from on the day.
Recycled materials, linen thread, awl, paper included.
