Many thanks to everyone who has applied to exhibit at this years Yarndale. Applications are now closed and you will be told before the end of April if you have been successful.

Yarndale is a two day weekend event held at Skipton Auction Mart on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. The venue is extremely spacious with good natural light, and the generously sized cattle pens are easily transformed for selling/display/demonstration purposes.

The cattle mart benefits from easy access, ample free parking and glorious rural surroundings. There is also a good sized cafe within the building which is run by a professional catering company, catering for both stallholders and visitors throughout the weekend.

Skipton Auction Mart already hosts a number of well established and successful selling events throughout the year (eg. Art in the Pen) so we feel confident of its success in providing a great venue for Yarndale.

Advertising and promotion of Yarndale will be both on a local and national level. We are already gaining terrific support from local businesses and sponsors, and we will be engaging the local community in all sorts of yarn-based initiatives and activities in the run-up to the event. However, we fully expect visitors will travel to the venue from all over the country for a weekend full of woolly goodness! Yes, we hope to welcome an awful lot of yarn-lovers to our beautiful part of the world!

In order for Yarndale to appeal to our visitors and keep them happy and engaged for the duration of their visit, we are looking for a broad range of stallholders to exhibit. Our emphasis is on quality and creativity, and will include some or all of the following :-

  • Wool shops/independent retailers selling a wide range of yarns, patterns and knitting/crochet accessories
  • Yarn manufacturers
  • Suppliers of haberdashery, notions and equipment
  • Designer makers selling art/craft/ finished goods made from wool, cotton, linen and silk fibres
  • Craftworkers who would love to demonstrate and share their passion for spinning, dyeing, felting, knitting, crochet, weave etc
  • Animals! We would love to have some sheep/alpaca/angora rabbits

If you would like to take part in this exciting new festival, we would very much love to hear from you.
