Will there be ticket slots this year?

Visitor feedback has been unanimous in keeping the slots in order to reduce the queues, ease congestion and manage the flow of traffic into the Mart. 

How many slots will there be?

There will be 4 slots: 10am – 10.30am, 10.30am – 11am, 11am – 11.30am, 11.30am – 12pm. 

What are the opening times of the show?

Saturday: 10.00 – 17.30, Sunday: 10.00 – 16.30

Can I buy tickets at the event?

Tickets will be available on the door from 12.30pm onwards on both days. 

Can I get a refund or exchange my ticket or time slot if I can no longer come?

No, we cannot provide any refund or exchange tickets or time slots. Please note, however, that you are still able to access the online content over the show weekend.

Can I swap the day I’m coming?

It is not possible to exchange your ticket for another day.

Can I change my ticket to a different time slot?

No, it is not possible to change your ticket to a different time slot, due to the careful monitoring of ticket numbers over the weekend. 

Will I have to wear a face covering?

We support those who wish to wear face masks/coverings. Hand sanitiser is available on stands at at Littondale and Wharfedale entrances. Please consider others and give people space. If you have COVID symptoms or a positive test on the day, please do not come to the show.

How much are the tickets?

Single Day tickets are £17.00 + £2.50 Booking Fee. Weekend tickets are £32.00 + £2.50 Booking Fee. 

What is included in the cost of the ticket?

The ticket price includes a complimentary brochure on arrival full of inspiration and ideas and including free patterns, free transport from the Rotary Charity Car Park or from Skipton railway station.

Is there a Weekend Ticket?

Yes. Weekend tickets are £32.00 + £2.50 Booking Fee.

What does the booking fee cover?

The booking fee covers the costs of processing your order and applies to both print at home and e-tickets to cover deploying technology, including the cost of the ticketing software. The booking fee applies per ticket.

Why do I have to book in 30 minute slots?

We operate a system of timed entry slots to help manage queues and minimise congestion. Please ensure that you arrive within the 30 minute arrival time window specified on your ticket.

What happens if I arrive later than my “arrival time window”?

If you arrive later than your arrival slot, it may cause additional queues and congestion and you may not be guaranteed entry.

Can I stay as long as I want after entry or do I have to leave after a certain time?

You can stay as long as you wish once you have been admitted to the event. The show closes at 5.30pm on the Saturday and 4.30pm on the Sunday. You can also access our online content at any time during the weekend.

Once I’m in the Mart, can I go out and come back in again?

Yes, you can come in and out. You will be directed to the designated door to ensure minimal congestion at entrances.

Can I buy workshop tickets in advance?

All tickets for our workshops must be purchased via our website in advance when the schedule has been finalised. 

I have booked a ticket to Yarndale but I’d like to book an earlier workshop. Is this possible?

Yes, if you have already purchased a ticket and it is for an admittance time that is later than that of your workshop, please be sure to come early and show your workshop ticket with your admittance ticket. 

Can I buy Talks tickets in advance?

All tickets for our talks must be purchased via our website in advance. More information will follow soon. 

I have booked a ticket to Yarndale but I’d like to book an earlier talk. Is this possible?

Yes, if you have already purchased a ticket and it is for an admittance time that is later than that of your talk, please be sure to come early and show your talks ticket with your admittance ticket. 

Do my children need a ticket?

Yes. There is free admittance for children under 16 with an accompanying ticket-holding adult. Please select the “Child” option when selecting a time slot when booking your ticket. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a fee paying ticket holder. Please ensure that you book your under 16 ticket at the same time as booking your ticket. 

Is smoking allowed?

We ask that you do not smoke inside the building, including electronic cigarettes or other products that produce a vapour or smoke. If you wish to smoke (including electronic cigarettes etc), please use the smoking area (as signposted and indicated on the plan) near the Littondale entrance.

I am accompanying someone to Yarndale as their carer, do I have to purchase a ticket?

When accompanying somebody in the capacity of carer, your entry to the Show is free of charge. Please select the “Free Carer” option when selecting a time slot when booking your ticket. All carers must be accompanied by a fee paying ticket holder. Please ensure that you book your Carer ticket at the same time as booking your ticket. 

Are there toilets in the Mart?

Toilets, including accessible toilets, are situated at either end of the building.

Are dogs allowed?

There are no dogs allowed in the Mart (not even really well behaved ones!) – assistance dogs are the only exception.

Are guide dogs allowed?

Yes, guide dogs are welcome at the show.

Does Skipton Auction Mart have a car park?

There is extremely limited parking at the Mart. We recommend you use the town centre car parks, including the Rotary Charity Car Park on The Bailey, or public transport. 

Is there disabled parking at Skipton Auction Mart?

An area will be reserved for disabled parking – please ask the stewards to point out this area on arrival.

Entrance to the Mart from this area is wheelchair accessible. Accessible toilets will be available at the Littondale and Wharfedale entrances to the Mart.

Is there an ATM machine at the venue?

No. The closest ATM is in Skipton town centre.

Where is the nearest bank?

The nearest bank is in Skipton town centre.

Will exhibitors take cash and/or credit cards?

The majority of our exhibitors will accept both credit cards and cash. But we are encouraging cashless wherever possible.

Will there be a Yarndale Shop at the event?

Yes, the Yarndale Shop will be open throughout the weekend so that you can make sure you can buy your Yarndale goodies to take home. The shop prefers card payments.

Can I bring a rucksack into the show?

Bag checks will be in operation at this event and to help minimise queues, we advise our visitors to bring the least amount of belongings possible.

Please do not bring large items of luggage since necessary security checks of large bags, rucksacks or suitcases may hinder your progress into the show.

Oxfam will be running their popular bag creche again this year should you wish to leave any heavy or bulky bags.

I have a wheelchair, is there disabled access?

The Mart is wheelchair accessible. On arrival please follow directions to the Wharfedale Entrance.

However, please note the ground is uneven in places including ridged concrete in areas.

All workshops will be held on ground level with level access from the rest of the show.

Is there seating in the show?

Yes, there is seating around the exhibitor area of the show with additional seating in tiers in the Workshop Theatres and outside (under cover) at the Wharfedale Entrance and in The Gather. 

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own picnic to minimise queues in the cafe. There is plenty of seating available.
