Yarndale Opportunities

Championing the brilliance and versatility of wool, our award-winning festival is a show for everyone interested in making. Over the last weekend of September Yarndale brings together a splendid variety of exhibitors with yarny stuff to sell and thousands of visitors, who come to browse, squish and buy yarn to make.

There are many opportunities to get involved in this year’s show which takes place on 28th and 29th September at Skipton Auction Mart. Please see below – we’d love you to join us!

Yarndale Start Up Bursary in Memory of Jenny Machin

In 2022, to celebrate our 10th Birthday, we introduced a Start Up Bursary to help new creative businesses showcase their products at the show, generously supported by Amanda Bloom of Cosy Life Boxes.

We are delighted that the bursary will remain as a feature of Yarndale and it is named in memory of Amanda’s daughter Jenny Machin who sadly died in 2017. For details of the Start Up Bursary and how to apply for Yarndale 2024, click here.

New Business Stands

We are keen to give businesses who are new to Yarndale the opportunity to enjoy the platform afforded by exhibiting at a large show and have made a limited number of single spaces available at a lower rate.

Volunteering at Yarndale 2024

The show couldn’t happen without the support of our fantastic team of volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering with us this year, we offer morning or afternoon shifts on both days.

We are looking for people to assist at the entrances, welcoming visitors, directing to the right place, handing out brochures; to help in The Gather and shops and of course everyone will be briefed to be able to provide general information answering questions from our visitors.

If you would like to get involved, please email Kate at [email protected]. Thank you!
