Thank you for all your support and participation in our first digital Yarndale.
We hope you had a great weekend and were inspired to learn new skills and find out more about our creative exhibitors.
We were delighted that we had over 11,000 visitors over the course of the weekend with many joining us from overseas.
You can read about it here.

Our Worldwide Creative Project
One of the most exciting parts of Yarndale is the creative challenges we set and the enthusiastic response from everyone who joins in, and we certainly weren’t disappointed when we set the challenge for 2020.
We asked you to make colourful dishcloths to help raise money for Martin House Hospice Care, our chosen charity for 2020, and we’re overjoyed that you have sent us a grand total of 1,386!
Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, the hospice had been forced to cancel its fundraising events and has seen its income plummet as the country went into lockdown.
By making your dishcloths, we can help raise money for this fantastic cause and make a real difference to families supported by the charity.
All the dishcloths we’ve received from you will be sold at Yarndale 2021. So, there’s still a lot more time to keep making them!
A big Thank You from Roma from Martin House.

Craft Club – You’re all Invited!
Crafting, knitting, sewing and making….the beauty of these is that you can do them solo and without leaving the house. But sometimes, a bit of social crafting is just what we need!
Yarndale and Great Place: Lakes and Dales have joined forces to organise a making club where we can get together on Zoom each month to chat while we make (and meet in person once lockdown restrictions have eased).
Bring a glass of wine, a cup of tea or a slice of cake and let’s share the joy of making, together.
The Craft Clubs in November and December were a great success – the next one will take place on 21st January 2021 at 7pm
To join, please sign up here.
