Tunisian Mosaic Crochet

Sunday: 10.30 – 12.30

Learn to create intricate colour-work designs working with only 1 colour at a time. Explore this fun technique while making a handy coaster. You will learn to read mosaic crochet charts (written instructions also provided), how to work the extended stitch used for this technique and you can also have a go at designing your own mosaic pattern.

Skills Needed: Please note that you must be able to confidently work Tunisian simple stitch for this workshop.

Please bring a 5mm Tunisian crochet hook, a 4mm standard crochet hook, scissors, removeable stitch markers, pencil(s), rubber. In addition, please bring smaller and larger Tunisian hook sizes if you have them (4.5mm & 5.5mm).

Participants will receive the required sport weight yarn to work with.

Sharon Carter is a freelance technical editor, yarn dyer, designer and experienced tutor. She has had several patterns published in both Knit Now and Crochet Now magazines. Specialising in crochet, and Tunisian Crochet she particularly enjoys teaching people and passing on her love of the craft.
