Welcome to Yarndale 

There are entrances to the show at either end of the building: the Littondale Entrance and the Wharfedale Entrance.  

Buses from the train station and Skipton Rotary Charity car park and minibuses or coaches drop off and collect at the Wharfedale Entrance.  

If you are walking to the venue, the Yarn Walk through the park is signposted to and from the Littondale Entrance.  

Parking at the venue is extremely limited. There are parking areas at both ends of the building. The accessible parking area is close to the Wharfedale Entrance with 6 spaces at the Littondale Entrance. Please park as directed by the traffic stewards.  

The show is held in a working auction mart. The ground both outside and within the venue is uneven in places including ridged concrete in areas. There are drainage runnels alongside some pens. Please take care.  

Assistance Dogs only are allowed in the mart. Other dogs, even really well behaved ones, are not allowed in the venue. 

Visitor toilets, including accessible toilets and handwash facilities are outside both the Wharfedale and Littondale Entrances. There are two accessible toilets inside at the Littondale entrance.  

There are baby change facilities inside at the Littondale Entrance. 

The Gather is the place to go for general information or assistance from the team. It is clearly marked on the plan in your show guide and is close to the Littondale Entrance.  

First Aid: If you need medical attention please ask for help in The Gather. 

Meeting Point: If you need to arrange somewhere to meet, or have become separated from your group, please head to The Gather and ask the Yarndale Team to help reunite you. 

All workshops are held in the Workshop Theatres on ground level with level access from the rest of the show.   

Entrance to the talks in the Yarndale Theatre is via two steps, with a handrail on one side. Ramp access is provided. On this raised level there is space for wheelchairs plus standing room with a rail to lean on. The bench seating is tiered with two steps to each tier. 

There are seating areas throughout the pen area with additional seating in tiers in the Workshop Theatres. 

Refreshments are provided by High Laithe Catering.  

• High Laithe Café – serving a breakfast menu throughout the morning plus a selection of home made light lunches & cakes throughout the day. 

• The Lairage – High Laithe Café pop up plus a variety of street food.  

• Littondale Entrance outside – Cobble Kitchen serving locally roasted coffee and cakes & High Laithe Café pop up. 

The Yarndale Shops are close to both entrances and will be open throughout the weekend so that you can buy your Yarndale goodies to take home.

At the Wharfedale Entrance an area is reserved for accessible parking. If you need to park in this area please ask the parking stewards to direct you to vacant spaces on arrival.  

There are six accessible parking spaces at the Littondale Entrance. 

Access to the Mart at the Wharfedale Entrance is wheelchair accessible via ramps.  

There is level access from the Littondale Entrance.

An essential companion or carer assisting wheelchair users must have a ticket to enter the show. Tickets for essential companions are free.  

There is a designated Quiet Space if you need somewhere calm to sit and take a moment out of the hustle and bustle of the show. The Quiet Space is in the centre of the pen area in the Stirton Ring. The entrance is opposite C5. 

We work closely with the local authorities to ensure the safety and security of all our visitors. 

Bag checks will be in operation at this event. 

To help minimise queues, we advise visitors to bring the least amount of belongings possible. Please do not bring large items of luggage since necessary security checks of large bags, rucksacks or suitcases may hinder your progress into the show.
