Skipton has excellent public transport links with buses connecting to Skipton from across the north and regular trains from Leeds, Bradford, Morecambe and Carlisle.

Getting to the show from the railway station, bus station or town centre is easy.

Double decker buses run from the railway station to the venue from 9.30am each day until the show closes. There is one bus stop at the entrance and you can’t miss the buses – look out for the bunting!

You can take a delightful 15 minute (approx.) stroll from the railway station through Aireville Park to Yarndale. On exiting the station, cross Broughton Road at the crossing and head up Manville Lane, cross over the canal and into the park. Follow the yarn to Yarndale!

Please note this route is not accessible for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The route ends at the Mart with a long flight of steps. 

Park and Ride

We offer a Park and Ride service with kind permission of Skipton Building Society. We work with the Rotary Club of Skipton so that visitors can park at Skipton Building Society on The Bailey (A6131), just past the Castle at the top of the High Street, then hop on the bus to the show.

The Rotary Charity Car Park is clearly signed on The Bailey – follow the white signs.

  • Car parking at the Rotary Charity Car Park is £3 per day.
  • This is a charity car park, run by volunteers, with all monies being managed by the Rotary Club and used to help local good causes.
  • Once you have parked your car hop on the bus to continue to Yarndale.
  • Buses run from 9.30am each day. They aim to depart every 20 minutes throughout the Yarndale weekend.
  • These buses are free of charge. If you can, please do contribute to this year’s charity: Martin House Children’s Hospice. Thank you. 
  • The buses will drop off and collect at the bus stop outside the Wharfedale entrance to the show where there is level access.
  • The gates at the car park close at 6pm so please ensure your car is removed in plenty of time.
  • The nearest toilets (including a RADAR accessible toilet) are in the High Street car park behind the Town Hall off the High Street. 

Town Centre Car Parks

Coach Street Car Park, Gargrave Road is nearest to the show. Pay & Display.

Approx. 20 min walk (West) along Gargrave Road.

Yarndale buses will pick up from the bus stop on Gargrave Road on request – please give them a wave! These double decker buses are wheelchair accessible.

Public toilet facilities are available, including a RADAR accessible toilet. Parking for cars and motorcycles.

Parking at the Mart is extremely limited and is prioritised for those with access requirements.

Please use the Rotary Charity Car Park for Park and Ride or other town centre car parks if you are driving to Yarndale. The Mart is a short walk from the town centre.
