Garter Stitch Entrelac Knitting

£36.00

With Iveta Kulina of BalticKnits

Saturday: 13.30 – 15.00

This knitting technique allows participants to make beautiful shawls, scarfs, and blankets. Interesting effects are achieved by using classic entrelac basics mixed with traditional Latvian weaving patterns. In this workshop participants will learn the technique and prepare a small flat square which could be used as a potholder.

If you would like to be included in a WhatsApp group following this session, Iveta will be able to offer additional support to progress to larger projects using this technique.

Participants will have a choice of two matching colour shades of 100% wool yarn to make the potholder.

Please bring 4mm circular needles and 4 mm crochet hook.

Iveta Kulina comes from Latvia, which is famous for strong knitting traditions. Iveta learned to knit at age of 8 and since then it has been her passion. In Latvia Iveta was working in a wool shop consulting with clients and leading workshops. Now Iveta lives in Scotland and brings centuries old Latvian knitting knowledge through her company BalticKnits.
