Our Charity Partner

This year we are delighted to support Martin House Children’s Hospice as our chosen charity for 2024.

Martin House is a charity offering free hospice care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions in Yorkshire. Since opening in 1987, advancements in clinical research and palliative medicine have resulted in children and young people living for longer, with more complex needs. The facilities need to change with them, to ensure families continue to receive the highest quality care in modern, well-equipped surroundings.

We are supporting them in their mission to embark on an ambitious £21.9m transformation project – THE BUILD.

We want to build on our long standing relationship with this much needed charity, raising awareness and funds to support THE BUILD and hope you will help us do so.

Worldwide Creative Project 2024

Yarndale is renowned for its large scale yarn installations and we love working with so many people all around the world to create the splendid display for the show. Many visitors still come to the show looking for their contribution and it’s such a buzz when they spot their triangle of bunting up in The Gather. We enjoy planning each project and it’s so brilliant hearing from knitters and crocheters all over the world when we announce the details and then receiving each and every completed piece as they are sent in for the show.

Bringing people together to make and explore different yarns and projects is the fun part of Yarndale. We work with people is so many ways and one of the most exciting is the annual project bringing woolly makers together from around the world in one huge shared make. It’s great to share everyone’s creations at the show and it’s fabulous to see the connections and friendships that are made along the way.

We are delighted to introduce our Worldwide Creative Project for this year’s Yarndale and our 2024 Charity Partner, Martin House Children’s Hospice.
