Learn modern filet crochet and how it can be used to create a variety of items. Filet crochet uses a mesh grid and a few simple stitches to create an open lace fabric which imitates filet lace. Open and closed blocks are combined to create a variety of pictoral designs. Filet crochet can be used to create a variety of crocheted items including scarves, cowls, table clothes, blankets/bedspreads, garments and more.

Skills needed: Confident basic crochet skills: chains, treble crochet (British crochet terms).

Participants will receive 100g dk yarn (to make the Love Is In The Air Cowl pictured).

Participants should bring: 4mm crochet hook (spare hooks will be available to use in the class).

Anniken Allis is passionate about empowering knitters through her workshops and patterns. She has been designing knitting patterns and teaching knitting workshops around the UK & online since 2006. She has designed for a variety of knitting magazines & yarn companies in the UK & US since 2005. She’s well known as a patient, friendly and knowledgeable teacher.
